Expert in: Conflict Coaching
Naomi joined the Resolution at Work team as Executive Assistant in June 2022, and continues to use her organisational skills to support our consultants. She is the first point of contact for all of our clients and loves building client relationships and flying the flag for postive conflict resolution at every opportunity. She has recently completed training as a CDP certified conflict coach, and is looking forward to training as a workplace mediator to support the growing demand we are seeing for this service.
Naomi’s background is in Veterinary administration, where she managed a very busy team in a large independent practice and learned the real meaning of ‘calm under pressure!’ Prior to this she was a freelance copywriter for a wide variety of clients, and now uses these skills to manage the Resolution at Work blog and social media pages. Come and say hi on LinkedIn!
Naomi enjoys walking her Italian Greyhound Salty in the glorious countryside near home in Berkshire and cooking as much as possible from her rather extensive cookbook collection. Naomi is dipping a cautious toe into the chilly world of wild swimming and was proud to have braved Bude Sea Pool on the coldest day of the year in January! She loves spending time with family and friends in Devon and Dorset and travels to see them whenever she can.

The report was very professional, it dealt with all the issues raised and was particularly thorough. It clearly took the time to fully understand all of the issues and background. It was complex but the report really helped to break it down and I’m hoping we can progress in a positive manner following the recommendations.

It is not uncommon for conflict to arise between different teams. This can have considerable impact on both individuals and performance. A number of approaches can be used in this sort of scenario, including neutral assessment, team facilitation and group mediation.
Agreement could not be reached to enter into mediation in this situation and therefore coaching was an alternative support provided to one of the parties. The relationship between a majority shareholder and a shareholder/director was causing conflict. The relationship would be ok at times but disagreements would flare up from time to time and this was beginning to impact on the business.
