With a professional background spanning both law and healthcare, Liz brings a unique and balanced perspective to both Civil, Workplace and Community conflict.

Liz is a Chartered Legal Executive, a Civil Mediation Council (CMC) Mediator (Fellow) and is one of the founder member mediators and Vice Chair of the Devon & Somerset Law Society’s Mediation Panel. With almost 25 years’ experience of successfully mediating a wide range of cases, she is a firm advocate of the use of mediation as an alternative method of resolving disputes.

A lawyer by profession, Liz obtained Fellowship of CILEx in 2004. Specialising in personal injury, Liz worked as a Claimant lawyer for many years in an Exeter law firm before deciding that she ultimately wanted to help those on both sides of a claim. She joined The Injury Care Clinics in 2007 until 2018, eventually heading up the medico legal services side of the business. During this time she worked closely with the then CEO from whom she gained a wealth of industry acumen including business strategy, growth, people management skills, diversification and collaboration.

Having also worked as Business Development Manager for UKS Medical Diagnostics and Everys Solicitors as a BDM, mentor and Workplace Mediator, Liz made the decision last year to spend the rest of her working career concentrating on her passion for mediation.

Liz is particularly driven by the provision of early intervention of mediation, especially in a workplace environment. She is on the CMC’s Workplace Working Committee with the aim of raising awareness to both stakeholders, employers and employees of the benefits of mediating a dispute at the first signs of conflict to avoid lengthy and costly litigation and reducing down the psychological stress that conflict creates to all parties concerned.

Loves spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to the radio and attempting to grow things in her allotment which is her confirmed place of retreat, weeds and all.

Group Conflict – Conflicts between teams

Conflict Coaching – Shareholder/Director dispute

The relationship between a majority shareholder and a shareholder/director was causing conflict.
